When I bought my used Peace Sports 49cc scooter it had a blown low beam headlight bulb. The factory bulbs are 25/25 watt (25 hi & 25 low) and even the high beam was dim to me. Twenty five watts is about the power of a night light. I searched on Ebay for a better bulb and found a 35/35 watt for $5, including shipping. It lasted about 2 weeks. My guess is that the harsh ride and riding along the right side white line had me experiencing hard jolts from bad road. I searched Ebay again for some LED bulbs but nothing fit my needs. I did find a 50/50 Xenon bulb for less than $6 though. What the hell is Zenon. Something Zena the Warrior Princess found? I don't know but movie projector lamps are filled with Zenon gas too and it is supposed to produce a nice white light close to the spectrum of daylight. It's been over 2 weeks and the bulb is still working. I have stopped hugging the white line as much though too. This is the listing for the bulb Ebay Zenon light The light is very bright and provides good visibility. I noticed there was play between the light housing and the socket when it was installed and even backed out at least once so that it was loose enough to bounce around. Not good for longevity. I ran some electrical tape around the circumfrence of the socket where it engages with the housing, jut one turn, and everything has been great.
